Really out of nowhere tangent but I just found out Jean Pierre from Army of Lovers is a zionist (I think?). I don't lose anything but seeing how he comes from being unapologetically queer and from such an artistic musical career is kinda a whiplash.

For me the worst is that conscious effort to never consider the queer. It won't be here. I can't be here. And this story has money, care and effort put into it. It's a good story, it talks about great things, but you're just not here, and that's by design. We decided you're out.

I was thinking The Conjuring movies love the aesthetic of working class families, normal ppl, the wonders of community (ie The Warrens personal life), but it's all straight couples all the time. Also these movies do that dirty thing of having non-white people only in peripheral spaces...

Big budget movie studios are experts at not showing stuff (LGBT people). They won't even linger on narratives that might expose their ass on how everyone is straight, cis, and no one from the main cast could ever be queer in any meaningful way.
