The fact that my kids have to have assemblies at school to teach them what to do when ICE comes turns my stomach. They are kids!!!!

Today is my oldest child's birthday. 23 years ago at the very young age of 18 years old I became a mom for the first time. It has been one of my proudest achievements.

Just remember to be kind to yourself. I have the habit of thinking I know a lot less than I do. Or feeling I can't do things that I absolutely can. Push yourself and do the things that scare you. Otherwise other people will do those things, get credit and you will still feel dumb.

Idk what the iOS updates did to my phone but they killed my camera quality snapshots and the auto correct?!!! Who are they correcting? It’s no longer me.

Don't tell my family, but this little "vacation" has been amazing. Last night I finished a book. Got delicious food I didn't have to share. Played some Switch. Got some work done. Watched mindless reality TV. Got a full night sleep & woke up refreshed at 7am. This may become a regular occurrence...

Finally got an update about an estimate for when the power is coming back… tomorrow, 8pm. Thankfully we have a generator and a wood stove! Ended up with somewhere between 12-15” of snow ❄️❄️❄️
