Today @sportico.bsky.social unveiled their MLS team valuations: Five MLS clubs are now valued at $1B+, led by Inter Miami CF at $1.45B.
Across all 30 clubs, MLS franchise values total $23B, with the average club valued at $767M.

I opened an X account just to see what it’s like over there now and I looked at a few cabinet ministers’ accounts and the replies to their tweets are mostly just variations on “kill yourself” so I’m not sure why they think it’s such a great way to get their message out.

After a few moments to digest this, it really feels like all this drama this week was pretty unnecessary.
We all know the team needs a new stadium to stay AND needs a better deal with PavCo in the meantime.
This all reminds me of when the flames “were leaving for Houston” in 2000/01. #vwfc /1

The more I think about it, the more I think the released statement was a PR blunder.
It should have said:
"This offer is a positive first step and provides better support for the team to play in BC Place. However, the long term feasibility of the team requires a soccer specific stadium." #vwfc
It should have said:
"This offer is a positive first step and provides better support for the team to play in BC Place. However, the long term feasibility of the team requires a soccer specific stadium." #vwfc
Gonna suggest this is a real PR misstep from the Whitecaps if they really intend to stay in Vancouver.
