China leads the world in the adoption and production of new energy vehicles (NEVs).

A CGS report finds China’s NEV market penetration rate rose by 20.4% from 2022 to 2024, and most provinces and cities are on track to meet or exceed 2025 NEV targets: go.umd.edu/ChinasEVHorizon

2025 has been a year of growth for CGS! We've collaborated with international partners to develop impactful research, launched informative resources to support climate ambition, and shared our work through conferences and meetings. Looking forward to an even better 2026!
