I discovered my true self and my love for embroidery because of cats. Whenever I needed a reason to smile, a cat would appear in my life to lift me up. I’m still going through a lot, but I know they’ll always be there to brighten my days!

Now, I’m constantly surrounded by them. I don’t have the joy of living with one (someday I will), but I get to embroider and draw beloved cats of others and that’s more than enough to make me happy.

I started going on long walks and I’d see cats everywhere. Seeing them made my days brighter. I’d wake up thinking about the kitties I’d met the day before, and that gave me the energy and motivation to face the day, knowing I’d see them again. In cats, I found the light I’d been missing.

Then, after I turned 22 I began struggling with health issues: hair loss, not being able to sleep, stomach issues... And since last year, I’ve been living in a place that doesn’t feel safe, surrounded by people with ill intentions and no respect for the peace and rest of others.

I was never really a cat person.
But about 3 years ago, everything started to change. My life took a turn and things became very scary. Someone dear to me started to go through the darkest time of their life. I don't want to disclose their identity, but it was someone very very important in my life.
