The coveted Koi Fish Bag sample is finished and on the way to us for final approval! His spots are custom screen-printed on a large piece of canvas from which the fish pieces are cut, so each fish will be unique :) Like him? You can preorder him RIGHT NOW! curlworks.net

Some flowers inspired by a print on my wall by Leigh Ellexon and then some ducks moving fast. Then some ephemera and the back cover.

I start my sketchbooks from the back, so I try to write where and when I bought it in the front (back) cover. Thanks for following along with me and happy 2026!

We're back and the shop is open!! It's nice to be back. Hope you all had a good time while we were away. Treat yourself to an item for your good behavior :)

I’m frankly just baffled and pretty upset for the folks affected that TaxBadger could put so many people so deeply in debt, vanish and ghost his clients for years, and then come back and try to peddle his services again and say “well… nobody told me there were any issues.. so…”
I vaguely remember (would love clarification, his tweets are gone) in 2021 he tweeted that he was not able to communicate anymore with the clients he screwed over, for some reason or another. this was a big deal on twitter at the time so I’m not sure how he was unaware!

I’m not a big callout guy, but I feel it’s my duty to the community to share that I have several friends who, to this day, are paying the (EXPENSIVE) consequences of working with TaxBadger after he biffed their taxes and then ghosted them. I didn’t know that he was back, so here’s your buyer beware.
As a reminder, Tax Badger Tax Office is open for business, ready to help you navigate this crazy year (and into the future!)

Licensed for all states, at the federal, state, and municipal level.

Rates are 200/hr, charged in quarter hour increments.

Taking on a limited number of clients this year!

The pixelated flowers were inspired by a knit sweater Carrie Bradshaw was wearing somewhere in season 3 or 4 of Sex and the City. More watercolor and gouache stuff.

We'll be back in business Jan 5!

Kiwis and Pelicans, these guys were fun! Back to my watercolor stuff cuz I was sick of ink bleeding thru the paper.

Assorted whatever. Chickens and shapes. Really into eggs laid on bird spikes at this time.

We're out of office but we'll be back Jan 5!

Parrots on some sunflowers (forget which kind, oops) some assorted long fish and assorted long pens. I really like the feather texture that I did on that bird facing away.

We're out of office til Jan 5, see you later!

Turkeys! Copics + ink + prismacolor. I love working with copics in this sketchbook but it does bleed thru to the other side which can be frustrating when I end up drawing something that I really like on the other side of the paper.
Reminder that we're out of office til Jan 5. See u then!

Doggy in the fields with a floating CD. I'd like to make this a painting someday when I get my act together!

The weird giraffe is my fav spread of this book I think. I like the thick lines-- still haven't really found a pen that feels the same as my b-3 dip pen nib. I ended up buying another Speedball Auto-feed because I couldn't get the first one apart.

Prairie Chickens and lacewing eggs and some pens I liked to use at the time. sometimes I'll see something weird and kind of gross and it'll get stuck in my head for a while and I'll have to keep drawing it (those eggs).

Reminder that we are on hiatus until Jan 5. See you then!

Random sketch assortment today. A horse thing and some more pansies and leaves from a tree I was drawing when I had COVID in September .

For the last week of the year I'm gonna be sharing some sketchbook pages from the sketchbook I just finished.

Our retrospective continues. Here's our ol' coot feet keychain. I've been thinking of bringing this guy back in cellulose acetate form (like our new fish and flower keychains). THOUGHTS?
December 20, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Another older pin design. This one was like... 2018? Having fun doing a little retrospective so I think I'll keep that up for our little holiday break. Shout loud if you want us to bring any of these back :)
