this is such a key point - @ladyhaja.bsky.social had a really good article i keep pointing people to called "it's nothing like a broken leg"
i (bipolar etc) get grumpy with "it's good to talk / ask for help narrative" when that help doesn't exist or people don't want to talk through your psychosis

Lots of people express support for mental health right up to the point anyone exhibits some. A few more will draw the line at mild anxiety and depression. It's when you're babbling and hallucinating that you know someone's love is unconditional.

Been ripping oak boards to final width for new spice shelves today
#woodworking folks will note a table saw would be much quicker, but after witnessing someone lose a fight with a table saw years back I try to keep my distance
