Man the last 2 arcs have been slowly losing me and this just really leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I liked dandandan a lot because it felt like it wasn't doing stupid overly stale plot beats like this. Maybe i'll come around on it but this just made me audibly groan and lose interest in reading

Maybe the reception to 0's Directors Cut gave them a wakeup call of some kind but i highly doubt it because people trip over themselves to act as if that game can do no wrong and RGG hasn't had clear longstanding writing issues for 3 games now (even if the cracks were building long before that)

Pirates was somehow a new low that i didn't think was possible after Gaiden but RGG found a way. I want to see my favorite series succeed but man what are we even doing at this point. And worst of all its the most well received its ever been so it only emboldens them to keep getting worse

These were all issues that the previous kiwamis had while RGG was still in my opinion making great mainline games. Now all the issues of the kiwami games are in the mainline entries so what the fuck is gonna happen with a studio that can't get pacing right anymore in a game with questionable pacing

My current theory is that it will be a wrestling fed that sees your match for Taichi and they try to recruit you so you can fight, you guessed it, 3 or 4 guys who are modeled off of real life wreslters from either New Japan or AEW

I full expect it to have terrible retcons to either to deaths of characters in this game or set shit up for games in the future. The will find some way to tie 7 or 8 into this. It will likely have some new really involved mini-game parked right in the middle that will force you to do

Gonna post more about it on here since less people interact with me on it so hopefully won't get as many weridos in my replies for my opinions but I have ZERO faith in modern RGG to not have Kiwami 3 be an utter disaster of a game filled to the brim with all the shit currently wrong with the series
