Rangers FC released 2024-25 financials on Friday, disclosing a £14.9million loss last season. That was a 14% reduction on 2023-24 but still the club's 12th consecutive loss-making year

What's more, Rangers' pre-tax result was £61m worse than Celtic's £45.7m profit

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

TBC how EFL reacts to Friday's Premier League votes, but any introduction of SCR in the Championship would require significant changes to how many second-tier clubs are run

Very much using estimates but on 2023-24 figures, 12/24 clubs would've had SCR >85%, some substantially so

Meta’s data-center accounting gets the Jon Weil treatment:

It’s “financed with debt, and neither the data center nor the debt will be on its own balance sheet. That outcome looks too good to be true, and it probably is.”

The Premier League (shareholders meeting) is BACK! Here’s my report from a day that featured a record loss, the tightest of wins, European implications, Championship fears, play-acting, a crackdown on cheating & a very relieved management team.

Lines are closed, votes are counted and verified...and anchoring in the Premier League is, well, sunk. Soon, PSR will join it.

Instead, clubs approved introducing a domestic Squad Cost Ratio, alongside SSR(?)

Absolutely loads to think about and unpack from today's Premier League votes, but here's one bit of food for thought:

PL elite massively out-earn the rest from non-broadcast sources. Anchoring would have tethered spending to the (fairer) distribution of TV money. It was rejected

160 games now picked for live broadcast, around 59 per cent of the 2025-26 season total.

Here's how those picks break down by club, inc. estimate of 'TV facility' earnings:
