It says a lot about me that while everyone (rightly) celebrates this documentary I’m left elated at the realisation that the person announcing Marty winning the award at the beginning is David Whitaker, Doctor Who’s first script editor and architect of much of the programme as we know it

I shall not offend you if I state quite frankly and openly that you seem to me to be in every way the visible personification of absolute perfection

It's especially ironic considering No Time To Die's climax is lifted from the You Only Live Twice novel where the epilogue shows an amnesiac Bond being found by a Japanese fisherman and nursed back to health for him to return to work for Fleming's final novel The Man With The Golden Gun
If Anthony Horowitz can't come up with a way of revealing James Bond is alive after No Time To Die, he should probably take advice from someone who's used to writing stories set in the outlandish world of James Bond, such as the novelist Anthony Horowitz

Phillips and Fegredo's sketchbook is a work of beauty and probably the best advert Moleskin could ever ask for
It's 20 years since @seanphillips.bsky.social and I exchanged a sketchbook back and forth in the mail, a drawn &painted call and response. INTERSECTIONS may be out of print but here is a flip through that sketchbook. You can still find the book out there :)

Violet Carson did such a brilliant job performing Ena Sharples that it’s easy to underestimate her range. This clip proves her versatility and genius as an actress

Of all the fates of the parallel worlds in DC Comic’s Crisis on Infinite Earths, it was the destruction of Eartha Kitt that was most tragic

The worst comic of 2025, the Death of the Silver Surfer #5 was published today with the titular event occurring as an act of self sacrifice to prevent a greater tragedy. But worry not for there is a new Surfer, a MAGA/ICE analogue 1/4

RIP Prunella Scales.

Never less than wonderful.

Now reunited with Tim.

Thoughts are with the family. Who loved her even more than the rest of us.

My answer to AI scraping is simple: all technology that utilises AI should be made open source so that anyone can use it.

Something tells me that wouldn't go down well with the tech companies...

It’s becoming clear that the purpose of AI is the appearance of realism without fidelity. As long as it looks crisp and clean it doesn’t matter if it’s wrong. Which ends up rendering it both meaningless and worthless
If you're a #DoctorWho fan who cares about sensitive video restoration that preserves the integrity of the original images, and is concerned about the introduction of unintended artefacts from the use of AI, please watch this short video, share widely and discuss.

Just watched the BBCThree repeat of #DoctorWho The Eleventh Hour and by god it's brilliant. I forget just how good an introductory story it is, not just for a new Doctor but for the programme in general. Matt Smith is fantastic and definitely my favourite new series Doctor- an equal to Tom Baker!
