Police in Birmingham held a roads policing operation, supported by volunteer Special Constables.

In one evening on one road, they pulled over 166 vehicles and took action in a staggering 1 in 3 stops.

Imagine if Roads Policing was properly funded!

Defend democracy, it is still young and needs out protection
To some young people living in democracies, authoritarianism may seem like a long-forgotten part of their country’s history.

Here in a non-Epstein scandal, Peter Mandelson was very angry about being forced to resign over the Hinduja affair in 2001, it derailed his political career.

But he'd also been briefing away to Hugo Young against his own party for years

How on earth did he remain in positions of power in Labour?
"Little wonder that a number of senior ministers and former colleagues were seriously wondering whether Mr Mandelson was suffering from some form of breakdown. It had sent his judgment haywire and coloured his perception of the cold reality that his behaviour was making him a liability to his party"

apologies for the punny neologism,
it's just we've got Oligarchs and Broligarchs, so Oilygarchs didn't seem too much of a stretch
Wonder how many of the retracted Epstein files relate to Middle Eastern Oilygarchs?

Am I wrong? Trump can't really get at Kamala Harris so he's just hitting Minnesota even though they've got a low number of foreign-born residents (9% in 2024) compared to the national average (14.8%).

Is DHS acting like this in Texas (18.4%)?
Kamala Harris dropped out of public life when she didn't get elected as President

Her Democrat VP Tim Walz continued as Governor of Minnesota - Trump hates him

Ilhan Omar has repped Minnesota since 2019 - Trump hates her

Donald Trump is a weak petty man who wants to lord it over his adversaries
Yes Melanie, it is no coincidence that Donald Trump has focused his anti-immigration Schutzstaffel on Minnesota's 9% foreign born residents.

No Trump tariffs on Bullion, which includes gold, a market upended by the fears of tariffs this year.

Energy is a big one. This means Saudi oil, for instance, wouldn't receive a new tariff.

Other "certain minerals not available in the U.S."
