That's my suspicion. If she's already expressed a problem, perhaps after ep 1. They found a few quid to buy in something else. Or maybe she brought in her own clothes and used those.

Oh, it's possible she did.

But on a weekly turnaround I wonder if they'd have had time to get a major costume overhaul chosen, fitted and used. Though I suppose it would have been far easier to get an off the peg custume than having a sci-fi costume made.

I doubt actors would have had that sort of power.

Given that most of the costumes were old army stock uniforms, the designer would just have had a bit of spare money available.

Time had passed between those two scenes, enough time for her to have a shower and change. She may have had a room there.
