I'll just say this now. I spent way too much time trying to figure out the effort to drop "Great" from the name, which happened in 1868.

All I ended up with was more questions ... but I also found when D-News adopted the name change in coverage 🤷‍♂️

The GSL Strike Team is releasing its latest GSL report this morning. DNR director Joel Ferry says this year will be a "watershed year ... literally" for GSL and water issues.

The 1890-1891 water year also started with a strong October before little precip until January. So if history does repeat itself, we could be in for a wet March. SLC's all-time March record was set in 1891 (4.66 in.) #utwx
