Any #3BodyProblem fans out there? The novel has been on my radar for a long time, but my shortened attention span has deterred me from starting a potentially complex novel. And now looking for my next TV series to binge I have downloaded the Netfl!X show.
I asked AI if I should read the novel 1st..

"Roving mobs of wild youth" is quite a statement about Washington, District of Colombia. Is this all because Edward 'Big Balls' Coristine got beaten up?

Also, describing Broad Street as a 'cultural hub' is laughable. I mean technically it has a theatre and a concert hall, but it's dominated by terrible bars selling cheap alcohol to the dregs of the city.

It's fantastic to have a broad range of regional accents on the BBC news, but for a moment there I thought the reporter said "Trump has been facing a barrage of questions about Gazza", and I thought why is he being asked about Paul Gascoigne?

Anyone listening to the David Lammy interview on the Today Programme. How many times has he said "Let me be clear..."
I suggest if you preface every answer with "let me be clear" you risk appearing anything but.

Any Hieronymous Bosch fans? The Michael Connolly detective, not the painter. I've just binged the first 5 #Ballard's. They aren't quite up to the OG bosch but they are worth a watch if that's your cup of tea.

Heavy news this morning re: shenanigans in the Middle East. But I must've listened to too much of
@jonholmes.bsky.social's Dead Ringers. Expected the excellent Lyse Doucet to be introduced as the BBC's chief misery correspondent. And spent the David Lammy interview imagining his internal monologue.

Stately, plump Buck Mulligan came from the stairhead, bearing a bowl of lather on which a mirror and a razor lay crossed. A yellow dressinggown, ungirdled, was sustained gently behind him by the mild morning air. He held the bowl aloft and intoned:
-Introibo ad altare Dei.
