Running a stable build so far. Small Adjustments on the Damage System. Also small changes for some Textures and balancing. All comes together.
Only issue is, with another level the Size of the Game is already by over 7.5 GB 😭

Haven’t checked my d3f4c3r.itch.io page in a while (wasn’t really helpful for my Mental health). Did it yesterday and was shocked of the spike of download of both Quatsch Quartett and #Odium
Don’t know why.

I love #UnrealEngine. Again spend couple of hours try to package the new #Odium release.
I had “registered” some Metasounds for faster Load times during development… it prevented the build to work…

I finally did it. Rewrote the complete logic which handles the lore logic. Now I only have a single point of truth.

Not only did I release the first level of #Odium I nearly finished the second one.
Also I partook in my first GameJam. And was overwhelmed with the positive feedback. With the best one attached.

I mean this year #Anno117 and #Avowed were released. Small wonder I found any time to develop

A little more then 2 years ago I downloaded #UnrealEngine5
It was out of curiosity. Never had anything to do with #GameDev except playing my whole life.
Even though I didn’t spend as much time this year developing, I look back and I find the progress astounding. #IndieGame #SoloDev

#UE5 learning of my life: use the game instance better earlier then later. And maybe plan ahead…
My level needs an info from the controller, an UI element derived a value from it and now the level needs this also
Storing in the instance it will be so much easier. Refactor time! #GameDev #IndieGame

I gained over 10 kilos on E like estrogene.
Even with E like ecstasy analogue (as ADHD medication) I didn’t lose any.

Not to justify anything, but I for myself using an AI voice because I have huge anxiety to use my real voice. Tried to only use text cards but it feels off in most cases.
Due to the fact most AI businesses sucks hard, I don’t really give them money.

For the first time in nearly 3 months I opened #UnrealEngine editor to work on #Odium, time for QA and finalising the second level. Took only a couple of minutes to find a broken animation… of course.
The experience paid off and it wasn’t as hard to fix as I initially thought.
