Google decided to load their Gemini AI onto my old Nest Hub, which I use primarily to control light fixtures.

It cannot be removed.

All clearance of data is manual, and only after the AI has built a profile of everything it hears. It listens, always.

I unplugged it. Forever.

It seems we have discrepancy in the understanding of how this works here in the US government system.

The American people DO NOT TAKE an oath to uphold the law and constitution, the elected officials do.

They're the overseers for the American people, that's their job.

Stop blaming the masses.

Quick note, never take political advice from an anarchist.

They want it all to collapse.

I saw this on another site..Not my words, but those of a Canadian.

Asking as a Canadian: is Congress an actual governing body or just a very expensive group chat for people who refuse to stop the president?

Anyone else think Trump invaded #venezeuala just so he could try to step in as their leader when he has to run away form the US?

Think about it. A nation he could drain of all resources after he installs a puppet government loyal to him, not to the US...

Subway changed their loyalty and privacy rules.

"We may share information with third parties to provide marketing and advertisement purposes, including to provide cross-contextual behavioral advertising on our websites."

Cross-contextual behavioral advertising is legal jargon for a psych profile.

If there is not an impeachment call in the next week, then we have surrendered to the fascists.

Until Congress reins him in, he will continue to become more and more like his role model, Putin.

This is his Ukraine, with Greenland and Nigeria next in line.
Hey Congress, u up?

By the way, this is purchasing power parity (PPP). It would look worse at market exchange rates.

The github link for these calculations along with downloaded data is available here. Little effort was made to make it very usable by other people.

Hi, data scientist here.

Citation of source can easily be automated.

It is actually MUCH easier to note the name of the artist than it is to compile an assessment of their image as a data model, and you MUST ID the artist to emulate their style.

It isn't hard, he's just a greedy douchebag.

In New York, we have some traditions when high winds hit on garbage day. The terms vary, but here are my favorites, in order of occurrence:

Banging of the Lids (Signals start of festivities)
Downwind Can Races (highlight)
Competitive Garbage Scatter
The Traditional Feeding of the Strays (End)

I miss the chintzy Xmas lights from my old home town.

I miss Sears Xmas catalog, even if we couldn't afford any of it.

I miss the glow of slow falling snow near the lit tree in the park, and the quiet.

And I miss not living in fear of my own government.

Merry Christmas.
Stay safe.
Be well.

Left wing in-fighting is going to continue dragging them into a death spiral.

It is painfully obvious to those whose priority is to displace the fascists in power, that all this pretense of attacking allies is just kissing Trump's ass and calling it the moral high ground.

Definitely miss that level of practical governance.
Remember when we had four years of boring infrastructure improvements, healthcare access, and no n*zis?

Yeah, I miss that.
