Just don’t think my government should be creating largely exclusive content for this guy. Put another way, if your constituents had to buy Ernst Zündel’s zine to read your latest policy position, that’d be a policy position in itself. And “but his circulation numbers are high” isn’t a good defence.
It takes a few clicks to ultimately see the post Elon Musk is talking about. But the original post is about Rhodesia.

“What they once did to Rhodesia, they now attempt to the whole world. Resist.”

I imagine a government's argument for remaining on Twitter would be that they should be communicating where people are, but...

a) I would wonder how many people are still on Twitter

and b) there is surely some limit on where the government feels it's appropriate to communicate.

Should the USA invade Greenland, Canada must immediately stand with the Greenlandic people + Denmark. The invasion would be an existential threat to Canada. We + our European allies should demand an immediate unqualified withdrawal, followed by a program of BDS + noncooperation if nothing happens.

During my short time here, I've encountered a shocking level of naïveté about what's happening south of the border.

So, I was looking up that 99 Luftballoons song, don’t ask why, and I saw that the original lyrics in German actually say there’s “about 99 balloons”, so not 99 balloons after all. It could have been only 30 or 40 balloons but reported by someone who was exaggerating. Very disappointing

In America you drop your kid off at school, get your brains blown out on the ride home, then the Vice President drops everything for a week to call you a terrorist, to slander your family, to protect the circumstances that led to your death so they can do it again. It is government by Alex Jones.

Not quite early 1990s levels, but things haven't been this bad for this long for over 30 years.
