Eternally grateful that my actual art job isn’t reliant on social media success. Spent hours and hours on a fan art painting, posted it on IG with appropriate hashtags, and 3 hours later, zero likes. 😅

Why does Hawaii have a fall/winter cold/flu season when our school year starts in summer and temperatures don’t vary that much? Is it tourist import?
I ask as my baby is sick for the 2nd time in 2 weeks because my 4 year old has been bringing home all the best germs from (year-round) preschool.

My car needs maintenance, and the same maintenance package we got from the dealer that cost $260 in 2023 now costs $420 (but they have a coupon online for $343)

My dream is to have enough disposable income to shop the FB Marketplace listings of random craft supplies to I can sort and repackage them for a reuse craft supply store at low prices to encourage creativity in the community and reduce waste.

I may be a very burnt out mom, but when my almost 18-month old regularly says “thank you” when I hand him things, it makes me feel a bit better.

17 years ago today, my college painting instructor told me I was one of the best technical painters in the program, but had absolutely no concept and would amount to nothing unless I joined underground avant garde movements. 😎

Brand new computer just had a BSOD (third one I’ve noticed, they’ve been super random and Evenr Viewer has told me nothing useful), but now won’t boot at all. Right as I was preparing to deliver files to print to my boss. This is beyond my capabilities of troubleshooting.

I finally started the Halloween costume for my 4 year old, and while I was struggling over top-stitching spandex to make pockets on the shorts, I was like, "...why am I doing pockets? He doesn't need pockets, he never keeps anything in his pockets." So I re-cut and am much happier.

I thought my new computer was having random restart issues, but I'm pretty sure it's because my baby discovered the restart button, which doesn't lock, unlike the power button. 🙃

How does my one year old go to bed at 10pm, wake up at 6:30am (after waking up 2-3x a night) and take only one one-hour nap during the day after we had him get tons of exercise this morning? 😭

One thing about kids that you don't really understand until you experience it, is how everday little things have a permanent difficulty multiplier. Like how I can't open the dishwasher while the baby is awake or else he will try to pull things out/crawl into it, and if I close it, screaming. 🙃

I started my art journey learning to draw anime characters from internet tutorials in 1999, and now I’m trying to relearn how to draw characters because I’m obsessed with LADS and it’s SO HARD. How am I an illustrative graphic artist when I can’t draw hot anime-esque men? 😅

So I just figured out I've been using this new PC for quite a few weeks and never installed Office on it so I couldn't open an RTF file I just downloaded.

New update: Got a prescription from my doctor for the Moderna shot, went back to Longs CVS, but apparently that specific Longs only has Pfizer so they still wouldn’t give it to me. Now trying to have my doctor forward the prescription to a Moderna locations
Well, just tried to get my COVID booster at CVS in Honolulu, but despite having “high-risk” conditions, because I’m not on medication for any of them I can’t be approved for the shot without a doctor’s note. If I was actively taking antidepressants right now, they would have approved me.
