Let me tell you about the SAVE Act. You need to know about it.

It’s Trump’s first (of likely many) major attempt to rig the election in his favor. It takes away the right to vote for millions and allows your voting records to be erased. We cannot let it pass the Senate.

The Constitution is currently being interpreted by the Epstein Class at SCOTUS.
“If this guy isn’t impeached and removed, what’s the point to the whole Constitution? You can’t have a fucking criminal running the government for his own benefit screwing the people. And that’s what we have.”

Even this is a massive understatement of the actual costs, since all of those things require advance planning, paperwork, and (in some cases) scheduling document retrievals (often only possible during work hours). The cost doesn't have to be high in dollars to be a prohibitive tax on voters.
It costs $130 + a $35 facility fee to obtain a passport and an extra $30 for a passport card. In California, fees for certified copies of vital records are between $18 and $31 each. How is the SAVE Act not a poll tax?

Jesse Jackson has passed away at age 84.

Two-time presidential candidate Jackson worked with, among others, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and U.S. Rep. John Lewis to effect positive change for all people.

His contributions are many. We are blessed by his work.

Part of my theory of change is to share the words white men need to hear, spoken by white men. This is because creating defections is crucial to stopping authoritarianism and democratic backsliding. This is because almost everyone else is already off the Trump train.

Estimates for annual medical-related bankruptcies in the U.S. are cited to range between 500K - 1 million people/households. Medical issues or debt contribute to roughly 2/3rds of all personal bankruptcy filings, driven by high costs, insurance gaps or income loss during illness.

So there's that.

More evidence the GOP is the Pro-Child Abuse Party.

We should just call them PCAP for short.

I hope this girl and her brother got away from this monster.
This sick fuck waterboarded his 16-year-old daughter. The teen told investigators she did not feel safe at home and feared for her life. Johnson had previously waterboarded her now-8-year-old brother several years ago and had backhanded her in the stomach on prior occasions.
