still got no idea what the revelatory advice is that the gambler from "the gambler" gives kenny rogers before he dies. "you have to know when to fold your cards". gee whiz. what's next, "press c to crouch"?

i've always been fascinated by like the shape of guns and what they imply. this has, over time, led me down a dark path and now i know what a "VAG-72" is.

i like when concept artists are hyper mentats who know both the visual language of firearms/buildings/tanks/clothing/etc + the real problems solved & introduced by design, how they all fit together. i think thats way cooler than denoising a latent image 100 times and picking whats "cool"
I think it's nice when concept art shows the evolution of people's creative processes instead of a prompt, but what do I know

"exploration" in video games feels like a dirty word to me because it feels very associated with big sparse skyrim/botw environments. but exploring small dense places is really where it's at -- the spencer mansion, mimiga island, prehevil

the most fun I have with NT involves one secret character with a smart bomb ability and picking up no weapons

there is a deeply "console wars" quality to arguing about what medium is best for Art or Stories. creative people dont approach that decision from a neutral overhead position. whatever they want to do painfully boils out of them and whatever bucket they are used to operating will be what catches it

i really want to know patient zero for the american pronounciation of wagyu as "waygoo" or "wagu". that's not a logical thing to do. the y is right there. a japanese guy sold it to you. this is clearly one guy saying it wrong somewhere in time and it just just caught on

i recently sat down with the re4 remake for the first time, and while it could have been much worse, it is certainly a game with 6 "shoot the blue medallions" side quests

oscar wilde had it the wrong way around. we are all stars, but too often, we find ourselves looking into the gutter.
