The troubling rise of longevity fixation syndrome: ‘I was crushed by the pressure I put on myself’
This unofficial diagnosis describes the anxiety-driven, compulsive obsession with living as long as possible. While it might seem healthy to monitor your diet, exercise and biomarkers, it can come at a huge emotional cost

How many lives of women and girls could have been spared the horrors of Epstein and his fellow abusers if the media had not mocked this trans woman in 2007 and listened to her instead…?

Listen to trans people, we are always the canaries in the coalmine.
When a trans woman first accused Jeffrey Epstein of rape, the media mocked her - LGBTQ Nation
The New York Post called her a "man" and a "gender-bend shocker."

We're really proud of the platform we've built at Bold Politics in just four months and whilst we've loved having the hosts of Match of the Day and Loose Women on, it's also important that we share the stories of people without platforms too.

The rot runs right through this Labour government.

Starmer made Mandelson ambassador to the US despite knowing of his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He must go.

Streeting must cancel the NHS contract with Palantir which has Mandelson's hands all over it.

the celebritification of theatre must be stopped. the sidelining and rising unemployment of experienced, talented theatre actors replaced by inexperienced, untalented celebrities has gone too far.

it’s never been less about the actor’s talent or the work ethic. it’s never been less about the work.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

there is no political space free from ableism. especially on the left. tonight has taught me that and i wish i could say i was surprised. it never hurts less, but it always disenfranchises more.

The Class Ceiling report is right to call for changes to increase the number of working class people in the arts. For that to happen we need trade union agreements guaranteeing fair pay & conditions - only then will the arts be a feasible career for many

It tells you everything you need to know that Reform are parachuting in a rent-an-extremist - this isn't about representing the people of Gorton and Denton, it's about using this place as a platform for their careers.

Manchester will show him the door.

what i hate the most about this as a gorton and denton constituent is how hypothetically people are talking about this & how they’re using us, practicing and theorising on us as political pawns.

we are not a testing ground. we are real people with real issues that need real solutions and support.

these people succeed freely despite endless logged formal complaint against them, reems of records of discrimination and harassment. and those who were told to be brave and log it formally, assured that they would be heard, are punished with unemployment and silence.

in this industry the only person who puts their career on the line by logging harassment in the workplace is the complainant, never the aggressor.
