This is also how some clients have tried to hide the fact that they are attempting to *lower* their rates on me lol. I always ask for a breakdown, or I supply one for them so they see how their math is not adding up on my end for my labor costs.

Reminder for artists: don't get blinded by the "big number" for an art project. Remember to do the math.

$3,000 for a tarot card desk *sounds* great. But in reality you're only being paid $38.46 per artwork. And if each artwork takes 20 hours to make, you're getting paid $1.92/hr

I've been thinking about DEATH lately. This tends to be the case when I'm in the midst of a PMDD episode. A sometimes comfortable, sometimes uncomfortable melancholy takes hold of me. Furthermore, someone I knew passed recently. I didn't know them personally. Most of what I know about them now is posthumous. But I shared a lot of their qualities and related to some of their struggles. I wish I had the chance to know them whilst they were still alive.
