They're already ridiculously priced, I got lucky with my insurance, but goddamn imagine just getting unlucky and your "backup set" (insurance will usually only cover one backup set) of parts is broken and you suddenly just have no way to hear, especially if living alone or with much worse hearing.

God I love brand new in the box hearing aid parts that would cost $180-300 being fucking broken and having a sound leak!
Thank god I had an older model on hand to borrow parts from or I'd be just using one ear for the next week while I try and call the audiologist for more parts.
