I ramble a lot about about sports (FSU, Tampa Bay Bucs, ATLUTD and Liverpool FC), design and technology stuff.

The Jameis experience is fun but ultimately predictable.
It took all game. But the Packers defense finally got Jameis Winston.

This #bucs game is the epitome of what makes a Todd Bowles defense maddening. They have all of these splash plays with exotic blitzes but rarely get you off the field when you need to. It’s ultimately a below average defense that costs you games if the offense isn’t playing elite football.

Wild that #fsu can’t get push on anyone anymore in the run game. If you can’t get a solid 3-4ypc in a Gus offense you are absolutely cooked

It's hard to pick only one "I can't believe they shipped that" in MacOS 26, but the unstyled "empty trash" icon definitely is high on the list for me

I am very excited about the MLS calendar change. My attention to the league always fades after the summer, and I think having playoffs that compete with MLB regular season, NBA/NHL playoffs and no football will be huge.

It's also a big win for roster management. Can't wait.

This is so stupid. The most frequently-cited example of why Dems are voting to reopen the government is the provision that gets the laid off workers re-hired and back pay for all.

That's not why you shut the government down!

I received this email about Democrats caving to end the shutdown from one of the SNAP recipients I spoke to:

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

The #bucs D did enough to win the game but the offense has played 3 clunkers in a row now.

If FSU goes down 3 scores I think it’s game over. Offense looks putrid tonight and while the D has been fine they’re not doing enough to carry a sputtering offense. Doubt I’ll watch this entire game.

I’m kind of surprised Apple doesn’t have a “Books+” subscription service that competes with Audible or Kindle Unlimited. I’d drop Audible in a heartbeat if the terms were similar, as Audible’s app is hot garbage.

i want to repeat this: mamdani and spanberger have run similar campaigns tailored to their respective electorates and it is maddening to watch political journalists attempt to create some broad contrast where none exist
the other thing about this is that there is no reason to pit these candidates against each other? each are good fits for their respective electorates and each shows the value of vigorous campaigns focused on the stated material problems of voters.
