**This Website is Hosted on Bluesky**

This weekend I found myself digging through the AT Protocol specifications and the Bluesky Personal Data Server (PDS) implementation. In doing so, I discovered that I could setup a website that is fully hosted on Bluesky.

just used the new AirPods Pro 3 for the first time on a flight and wow it’ll really make you appreciate how much the ANC has improved.

**Using a Laptop as an HDMI Monitor for an SBC**

Wrote up some quick notes on how I use HDMI to USB capture cards to breathe new life into old laptops as HDMI monitors for my single board computers (SBCs).

To be clear, the original post is not an endorsement of barrel connectors. Rather, I had just collected 9 12v wall warts from around my office, and none of them fit the the receptacle for the board I was using 😅

Fair. Were you using a laptop charger with the camera?

barrel connectors are like the opposite of USB-C: tons of different form factors but if it fits it is probably going to work.

Long term goal is detecting gluten cross-contamination in food. Short term goal is to see what this little AS7263 is capable of :)

NIR spectroscopy can be used to perform non-invasive molecular analysis of a wide variety of substances. I’m particularly interested in detection of gluten cross-contamination in food, which I suspect will be a tall task for the AS7263, so first steps are just testing out its capabilities.

I recently learned about Princess Cruises Medallions because I was traveling through a port city and a quick scan of BLE devices revealed that the airport was teeming with them. Interesting little beacon device that appears to be used for everything from unlocking your room to paying for food.

Currently reading the Feynman Lectures on Physics while on a short vacation this weekend — we should all strive to communicate technical concepts so effectively.
10−8 cm is called an angstrom (just as another name), so we say they are 1 or 2 angstroms (Å) in radius. Another way to remember their size is this: if an apple is magnified to the size of the earth, then the atoms in the apple are approximately the size of the original apple.

In addition to signed URL support, we have also released signy, an open source firmware library for generating signed URLs on embedded devices. signy leverages the Arm PSA Crypto API for all signing operations, ensuring private keys remain in secure storage.

Today we are launching support for device signed URLs on @golioth.io! Almost everyone uses signed URLs on a daily basis to access private content on CDNs, but they can also be useful in the context of complex multi-protocol embedded devices.
