It’s National Coming Out Day! 2 things to know. First, there is no “right” time to come out, and to do so should be your PERSONAL choice, not someone else’s decision. Second, it’s never too late! I came out in 2005, after living more than six decades largely in the closet. & I’ve never been happier.

People vary in terms of what they think counts as a mental disorder. This is important, because it could affect how people interpret their own experiences (and others'). Now there is a scale to measure this concept breadth, by Jesse Tse and Nick Haslam:
