Hi! I'm Dan. I'm a hobby artist who typically draws cute and silly things.

I've mostly been drawing aliens and magical animals lately (and having a great time with it).

it's pretty dope writing, drawing, creating in general. using your human goods, your clumsy fingers, and forgetful distracted brain constantly dashing toward new ideas. doubting everything. freaking out. working through it. after all that, you end up with something only you could have possibly made.

I really want to draw more scenes involving Breeze. She's the apprentice of a traveling wizard. I want to show what happens during her training and travels (both the good stuff and the mishaps).

The lightest parts of her fur (neck fluff, the stripes on her arms and tail, and little heart shapes on the back of her hands) have little sparkles in them. Drawing Breeze dealing with magical mishaps has been fun. I think I should create some new characters specifically to cause problems for Breeze. Why not? That's pretty much why I created JoyJoy.

The Sentinel hates the Showman so much. He thinks the Showman is the most diabolical villain in the galaxy and has to be stopped.

The hatred is not mutual. The Showman just likes to mess with him.

Talking about JoyJoy with other people has made me realize that the true tragedy of JoyJoy is there are plenty of people who would love to be friends with her but she wound up with Breeze instead.

This is what happens when I create a character just to mess with Breeze specifically.

Sometimes, I get a little upset with myself for not wanting to turn my wizard project into a webcomic. So many scenes from the story would look great in comic form.

But I also really don't want to turn my wizard project into a webcomic. I just don't think that's the right medium for it.

I really like Breeze! She's such a fun character! I love how enthusiastic she is! I love how much of a nerd she is! I love how fascinated she is by things others would find strange and dangerous! I can't wait to draw more art of her!

One day, I'm going to redesign Breeze. I'm not sure how much I'll change but there will be changes.

When I designed Breeze, I had a different concept in mind than the one I have now. I can't help but wonder what she would've looked like if I had her current concept in mind back then.

It's kind of amusing that during the creation of JoyJoy, I went from "I want to make a silly snake OC" to "Imagine if a powerful, unkillable being chose you as their favorite and wanted you to spend the rest of your life doing your least favorite activity with them".
