Panel 1 - When I was 15, my depression had gotten really bad. I couldn’t see a future where I was happy. I struggled to see myself getting older than 18. Panel 2 - I couldn’t see myself happy with some religious man, stuck as a repressed house wife. In a relationship where the husband makes the final decision, and was expected to put God above my dreams. Panel 3 - The religion I was raised in taught about a paradise, a place where you live forever and never get sick, a place where all your passed loved ones were brought back. A heaven on Earth, that was going to happen any day now after Armageddon. Panel 4 - I used to think, “What’s the point of going on, if I’ll have a better life in Paradise?” Panel 5 - I kept going though, For my friends and family, and the hope that things would get better. Panel 6 - But it wasn’t until I realised I was queer, “Shit I like girls” That things started to change. Panel 7 - I could actually see a future for myself, one where I was actually happy, and my depression started to actually heal. Panel 8 - Even more so when I realised I’m trans. I can finally see myself older, living a more full life of happiness and love and connections. And I’m so proud of myself for making it this far.

I wasn’t expecting to find something, but when I did find this, the change was so obvious. Compared to the other posts from Mum, younger me looked so happy finally having short hair.
I also take me being insistent on having short hair as a small sign I wasn’t cis lol

I was hanging out with some of my friends to get ready for a Halloween party, and ended up going on my Mum’s Instagram to show them my book day costumes from primary school. The account goes back to my early childhood, so I was curious if there was anything that pointed to early signs that I’m trans. One post stuck out to me, from when I was seven. Mum’s account- (redacted)‘s new haircut. I tried to talk her out of it but she loves short hair And all I thought after seeing that was; “He looks so genuinely happy”

The final Halloween drawing! I was initially stuck on what to do, but yesterday i finally watched the 90s Addams family and realised Morticia and Gomez were the best Halloween couple costume. So I give you Deadpool and Spider-Man dressed up as the best gothic couple!

Did this a few days ago, wanted to try out the typical “beat up hero but is still standing” trope because I’m an absolute sucker for that.
It’s one of the reasons I love Spider-Man so much, as said in Into the Spider-verse, he “always gets back up”

Text Panel 1 - I often have to deal with a lot of transphobia in my family. But it’s the kind that’s kept quiet. Me - “Dang I feel like a pretty boy today!” Mum - “No you don’t” Me - What the actual hell? There’s of course the comments Text Panel 2 - But there’s also the denial. Mum - “I don’t want you using that name around the family. How do you think I’ll feel when I have to tell everyone you’re going back to [deadname] later?” Me - “I’m not planning on changing it back…” Text Panel 3 - The usual ignorance, Mum - “Why do you have to make everything about the lgbt? Can’t you make friends outside the community? If you surround yourself with only these people, you’ll never get your views challenged.” Me - “I have friends who are straight” Dad - “Yeah but they’re still supportive of it” Text Panel 4 - and the added layer of religion. Mum - “You can’t expect me to accept you when it goes against everything we believe in.” Text Panel 5 - But then it’s brought up with doctors or people not in their religion, it’s a completely different story. Mum - “Oh we’re all just trying to get used to it. We accept whatever she decides to do with her life, we just want her to be safe.” Text Panel 6 - It gets hard at times, but I have to remind myself that it’s not forever. Soon I’ll be out of home, I’ll be able to freely transition. Soon, I’ll be able to be unapologetically myself.

I got myself a makeshift binder recently (two sports bras) and I’ve been feeling so much happier now. Definitely didn’t happy cry in the changing room when testing if it would work haha. I love being able to look at myself and see a boy there <3
