Oc Artist!
I pretty much draw the same two guys over and over, and plan on making silly comics for them! I enjoy exploring my characters' psychology, and my art can have manga/horror influences.

Hello! I'm Dark, a self-taught artist with a love for media critique and writing! This account is mainly for Oc Art. I tend to draw the same two guys, and that's about it lol.
I'm very attached to my characters, and hope to make a webcomic for 'em at some point. Here's their refs for anyone curious!
Front and 3/4 view of my Oc Brian's reference sheet. He's a tall, muscular white man dressed in a long tan trench coat. A red scarf covers part of his chin, and the rest trails down behind him at around the length of the trench coat. He has brown spiky hair with white streaks running through it, and the hair at the back of his head parts and points up to vaguely resemble horns. Traditional alcohol marker drawings I made of Brian a few weeks ago. The colours have been adjusted digitally to stand out more. The image is four doodles of Brian in different emotional states, wearing his usual attire of a scarf and vest. The colours are mostly green, teal, magenta and black. Front and 3/4 view of my Oc Vean's reference sheet. Vean has two outfits that change depending on the time of day. This is his night outfit. Vean is a very pale man of average height and a muscular build. His hair is a light grey or silver colour, and is slicked back in a spiky hairstyle. His outfit is predominantly black, with the gloves and thigh-high boot on his left side being white. He resembles the grim reaper, as he's wearing a long, torn black cape and a hood that partially covers his face. An ear-to-ear grin is plastered on his face. This is Vean's resting expression, unless he's feeling tired or emotional. A drawing I made for Vean a few months ago. Two of Vean's poses replicate song covers from an artist called 'Femtanyl'. The image is slightly grainy and pixilated, and made up of dark blues and cyans.

He's wearing his usual attire of a vest and scarf, apart from the top left drawing where he is wearing a flannel shirt. Most of the drawings show Brian in a state of annoyance or anger. In the bottom right he is smiling. The top right drawing shows him yelling in anger, his mouth opened wide to show his large canine teeth. Art I made for a Tiktok trend back in May 2025. There is four depictions of Vean lined up, viewed from a 3/4 view angle. They show his appearance changing as he gets older, until it reaches his forth design on the right, when he is an adult. The adult drawing of Vean is a front view. The drawing is mostly a dark blue, until it reaches adult Vean, who is coloured with bright oranges and reds. He glows faintly against the dark blue background. Hornet gijinka design I made a few months ago! It's a reference sheet showing a full body view, three head angles and her teeth, which have long, sharp canines. Her hair is white, and tied up by a red ribbon into a long ponytail. Strands of hair dangle down both sides of her face resembling chelicerae. Her horns are a part of her head, standing up at a slight diagonal angle. She wears a domino mask with two black eye holes, replicating her canon face. Her ears are pointy. In the fullbody view she is standing upright, holding her needle in one hand. She has one hand on her hip too. Her cloak covers most of her body, but a second pair of arms can be seen resting by either side of her legs, reaching down to her knees. She's also wearing grey knee pads and black knee-length tabi boots. Pops of red can be seen where the toes on the boots separate.

Vean can't understand what good Brian is trying to look for in him. He believes Brian is just desperately lying to himself, trying to convince himself that he hasn't agreed to work for somebody so truly twisted. #OCsky #originalcharacter #ocartist #ocartwork

He's wearing a rugged shoulder cape that surrounds him. The writing in the image reads: Vean's cape is made up of various bits of old clothing he has stitched together through the years, with the main part being a hoodie from his childhood. The cape has absorbed a lot of emotional energy Vean has released over time, leading to it developing some sentience. The next image shows Vean standing and hugging himself, he is shivering. The cape has grown in size, surrounding him to shield him from the cold. The text reads: The cape can't think for itself apart from loosely echoing the thoughts of who wears it. In a way, it is linked to Vean and an extension of him. The cape isn't completely solid. It can expand to provide protection and/or stealth.
