The cost of 10-year “flawed” contracts with private companies who provide asylum accommodation has gone up from £4.5bn to £15.3bn. 32,000 asylum seekers are currently housed in 200 hotels. Report finds Home Office has failed to manage these contracts or impose penalty clauses.
