November 11th, 2025 - Day 11 - Today I learned about more movement shortcuts, the subdivision surface modifier, modeling symmetrically with the mirror modifier, separating mirrored objects, drawing, and modeling clothing. That's a lot of shit I need to remember. Here are some cool renders I did.

Btw this is a class project I did with a course on Udemy. I just wanted to clarify that. Because I'm not in school for anything. I'm just learning Blender via the internet.

Edit: My dumbass forgot to add the liquid inside the bottle when I was preparing the final renders. Here are the final rendered images. For real this time.

November 10th, 2025 - Day 10 - Today I had to complete a class project where we had to design a stage for our brand. I made a stage for my soy sauce bottle brand. It was pretty fun! Here are a couple of renders I did. Overall, it was pretty challenging, but very enjoyable.

November 9th, 2025 - Day 9 - I don't really have anything fancy to show off today. But I still learned a lot of new things. I learned about combining scenes, camera settings, light types, and rendering with cycles. I only have one render to show for now. I'll try to render something better tomorrow.

November 8th, 2025 - Day 8 - Today I finally shaded my soy sauce brand bottle. And I learned how to add liquid inside the bottle. As well as make the bottle transparent. It was a little tricky. But it feels good to finally finish this project! I really enjoyed the process! Here are some images.

Just finished up this sword 3D Model. And although it is a very basic sword. It was a learning experience nonetheless. And I look forward to making more cool 3D Models in the future. I need to get in as much practice as possible in order to get better. I really want to improve my skills.

November 7th, 2025 - Day 7 - Today I learned more about materials. Specifically, world lighting, creating glass, and creating liquid. I did a couple of renders of the glass cube I made. I wanted to create liquid too, but that seemed a lot more complicated than I initially thought.

November 6th, 2025 - Day 6 - Today I learned about Render Engines. With EVEE you have to use a few tricks to get your 3D models to look the way you want. Whereas if you were to use something like Cycles. You don't have to do any work to get your 3D models to look cool. Here are some renders I did.

November 5th, 2025 - Day 5 - Today I made a futuristic soy sauce bottle thingy. Yeah I know crazy lol. I had an assignment due. Which was to make a bottle, based off of a brand. So I followed the prompt that I got, which was "premium soy sauce brand". And here are some images.

November 4th, 2025 - Day 4 - Today I learned about the different modeling tools in Blender and even made a house! Although it's not technically a house I made myself. But I learned a lot nonetheless. I even colored it!

November 3rd, 2025 - Day 3 - Worked with some materials and colors today. Just the basics for now. I haven't gotten to the more advanced stuff yet. Here is an image with materials and colors applied to a couple of objects in Blender. And did I forget to mention? Shiny objects!

November 2nd, 2025 - Day 2 - Did this collage thing in Blender for a class project. Just to clarify, I'm not in school lol. I'm currently watching a Udemy course. And there are class projects we get to actively participate in. Aka exercises. Which is pretty neat.

I have a little bit of an understanding of what game mechanics are. But it's still daunting. And there are game loops which are confusing to me. Because I have a hard time grasping what a game loop is in games that I play. And level design is a whole other beast entirely. 2/2

I appreciate the response! And I guess that makes sense. I kind of just feel overwhelmed by everything. And I hear online that a game designer needs to play lots of games. And they say to be critical of the games you're playing. And I'm very bad at that. 1/2

Unlikely to get a response back, but I'll try anyways. 1. Are you working on this project all by yourself? And 2. How did you learn game design. Or to be more specific, what makes a game fun and all the complex stuff that makes a game, a game.

What is a twitter user doing here on bluesky? Gosh go back to your cave you gremlin.
August 21, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Are you working on this game entirely by yourself? This looks incredible! And how did you learn game/level design?
August 17, 2025 at 6:16 PM
What I mean by "studying" is seeing what you like or don't like. Or how things can be improved. Not sure if that makes any sense. I ask because I have a hard time understanding what is good or bad in certain games.
July 31, 2025 at 3:22 PM
Not going to get a response. But how did you learn game and level design? And how do you go about studying other games to make your games better?
July 31, 2025 at 3:19 PM
@fiscogames.bsky.social Do you also study games? What I mean is do you study certain games to see what you like and don't like about them? How does one go about studying a game. What do you focus on first? Did you read the scott rogers book in order to have a basic understanding of game design?

And he explains the intricacies of game development in such a way, that makes me think if I even have what it takes to be an indie game developer. I'll never say I can't do something. But I have those thoughts about if I'm good enough to make stuff of my own. 2/2
