What I’m about to post may not be a popular post, but I promised from the beginning that I would always be true to my magick and be as genuine and honest as I can be. This has been stuck in my craw for a while. It is written with love, encouragement, and fire. A lot of folks talk about witchcraft when what they’re really practicing is wishcraft.Wishcraft is hoping the candle does the work for you. It’s lighting something pretty, saying the words, and leaning back like the universe owes you results. It’s manifestation without muscle. A spell treated like a shortcut. A prayer you don’t plan to live into once the smoke clears.Witchcraft doesn’t work that way, and it never has.Witchcraft is getting your hands dirty. It’s the part no one wants to post or polish. It’s changing your habits, your boundaries, your mouth, your money, your silence. It’s realizing the spell didn’t come to rescue you—it came to recruit you. When you light a candle for protection, you still lock the door. When you work for love, you learn how to show up honest instead of desperate. When you ask for healing, you don’t just bless the wound—you tend it, over and over, even when it aches.Wishcraft wants the reward without the responsibility. Witchcraft understands that power costs something, and that cost is usually you doing the work you’ve been avoiding.Real witchcraft asks, What am I willing to change to make room for this?
