Older but not necessarily wiser. Phil Thompson nearly ran me over and Sammy Lee told me I look like Eric Clapton. Not sure which was worse. Once complimented on my beard by Jeremy Corbyn. Would put cauliflower and Mick Hucknall into Room 101.

Going to have a crack at doing the 'a new album every day' thing, BUT, for practical reasons, not necessarily 1 each day - but by the end of the year there WILL be 365 on the list.

"Digital programmes are the future", they said.
Got boxes here in the house with programmes from 60+ years ago, all perfectly readable. Meanwhile, go to the link for the digital one from a match that was less than 3 months ago, and it's now deleted.
Screenshot of the webpage where an online digital football programme *used to be*, which says instead "sorry, but this online flipbook was deleted."

One thing you can pretty much guarantee is that there's always been a weirder fanboy than you (unless of course you get caught rooting through their bins or something)

Possibly the worst refereeing performance of the season so far as well, which is really saying something.

That sounds like a belter of a night

This afternoon's tenth tier delights, featuring the worst kit of the season so far.
Armthorpe Welfare in blue vs Harrogate Railway in pink and blue. 5th vs 3rd in the NCEL Div 1.

I agree, Stop The Boats

Bloody oligarchs coming over 'ere on their mega yachts, stealing our public assets, influencing our government, exploiting our work force, dumping their waste into our rivers & expecting the tax payer to foot the bill for their billion pound government contracts & bail outs

264/365 Suzanne Vega 'Solitude Standing'

Knew the first two, obviously, but none of the others.
All very much as I expected - quality songwriting, really well played, and I like her voice as well.
One of those that actually leaves me wondering why it's taken me until now to listen to it.

LOVE Human Waste Project. Best example I can think of, of seeing the support totally obliterate the headliners.
Coal Chamber were the poor unfortunates that night.

263/365 Belle and Sebastian "If You're Feeling Sinister"

A bit of a sixties feel to some of this, which I liked. Not totally sure about the voice, which I think was the same with the other stuff of theirs that I've heard, but definitely one to revisit and listen again, and explore some more.

262/365 Two Door Cinema Club 'Tourist History'

I can imagine these being great live. It's that bouncy sort of indie with a really good tune that sounds brilliant in a field with the sun shining.
I can see this getting a lot more plays from me.

Well worth a listen.

If they had a Left wing person on Question Time every single week like they have a Reform person, the polls in the UK would be completely different.

But of course they only put a Left wing person on once every blue moon to prevent this.

261/365 Jason Isbell 'Southeastern'

Many years ago I introduced a mate of mine to Steve Earle. He's returned the favour by pointing me towards this lad (who a couple of other folk have mentioned as well).
He's always had excellent taste in music and it's nice to know he hasn't lost his touch.

Back in the day, I bought the first two Lostprophets albums.

What albums does everyone regret buying? Loads for me, but the one that really sticks in my mind is K by Kula Shaker, which I forced myself to listen to joylessly several times in the desperate attempt to convince myself I hadn’t wasted my money, and still get cringes of regret about 29 years later.

It's one of the few albums I regret buying.
I'll Manage Somehow and Stardust are fine. The rest is mostly forgettable.

We should demand a recount because that can't be right

It's great. Doesn't feel like almost an hour, it absolutely flew by, always a good sign.

Good shout. Can't have it as part of the 365 because I do know that one, but it's due a revisit

Pedro Delgado, apparently.

Emma Pollock just released a solo album a couple of weeks ago, which might be making it onto this list soon as well...

Is 'progressivism' the new 'woke' then?
Right wing pejorative shorthand for, well, 'being a reasonable human being', really?

260/365 The Blow Monkeys 'Animal Magic'

Some of this is so 1986 that I half expected the kids from across the road to knock and ask if I was coming out to play.
Liked it a lot, especially the first few. Good big tunes and a couple of nice quirky bits (I love a good time change) thrown in as well.

Ok. Just done the bonus tracks as well, and not anywhere near as keen on them as on the album itself.
Probably why they're not on it, eh?

259/365 Vampire Weekend 'Father Of The Bride'

A few that I think I recognised on here, but not sure if that's because I've heard the song before or because it wears its influences proudly on its sleeves.
Played it, and then played it again. Not gone for the bonus tracks yet - but thinking about it.
