This is horrendous from the Post. You can be right leaning with standards, if you choose. Grotesque.
This is nuts!

Why is WAPO writing up anyone’s speculation about who the suspect might be?

I get that Laura’s statements and actions are at times newsworthy given her influence on Trump, but no one’s speculation — outside of a government official’s — should be written up this way.

Interesting developments here. Perlmutter was fired just days after her office put out a report saying AI training shouldn't necessarily be considered fair use under copyright law.
I've expanded on today's SCOTUS order about the Copyright Office a bit in a note because I don't find today's SCOTUS action as surprising as some others seem to find it.

This is so funny because recipes can literally already be copied and reposted with no attribution or copyright. All AI does here is add statistical noise and make the stolen content useless. AI can’t even steal content without fucking it up.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.
