NEW: Elections Calgary says 96,549 Calgarians voted in advance polls - 10.7% of eligible voters.

Saturday saw the highest turnout of the week.

To compare: 141,329 people voted early in 2021.

Election Day is Oct 20.

We need to work to identify how we can better utilize public assets and space. We need to take a housing-first approach to supporting our unhoused neighbours. We cannot be cutting back on services and wishing the problem away.

These organizations are doing incredible work, on shoestring budgets and entirely with volunteers. It's not sustainable. We need to invest in providing more spaces for the day-time programming offered by orgs such as Good Neighbour.

It's incredibly disappointing to hear Mr Wong and his party continue to disregard experts and want to waste money on more studies to tell us what we already know. This time it's transit gates. They don't improve safety. Ward 7 deserves better #yyccc
