Sorry to hear that Quebec artist/musician Gerald Jobin AKA Jos binne has passed. Friends with my Dad. Among his many talents, he crafted these beautiful jackets worn by rock stars like @tomcochrane and ME! My Uncle Ronnie said that his was “too nice to wear”. My Juno Jacket!

I saw this on the interwebs today. Usually I prefer a more traditional finish, but I kinda dig this. What are your thoughts? Too “7-Up”, or cool? I’ve never owned a Junior, but there’s always room for “just one more guitar”!!

Another Happy Heavenly today. Jimmy Johnson, who lived to be 93, was born on this day in 1928. Beautiful voice, smooth guitar. I enjoyed his weekly online videos during the pandemic. Inspiring! Reminds me a bit of Otis Rush. Check out his song You Don’t Know What Love Is when you get a chance!

I found these cool vintage strings in my music room. When I first met my friend Ken Hamm, he had a hippy leather pouch to keep his slides, capo and string changing gear in. My mom got me this similar rig, which I have somehow managed to keep for damn near 40 years! Tuning fork!

I’m a little late to the game, but I’m loving the new Bold As Love box set. Over the years I’ve had many lo-fi Hendrix bootlegs (and still devoured them!), but this is a fascinating collection and just further shows Jimi’s genius as a songwriter, guitarist and singer.

They say that you shouldn’t get high on your own supply, but I was eager to taste the new Bloozeberry Hot Sauce! I pan fried some delicious schnitzel and Magic Dust Potatoes (Smokin’ Okies in Regina!) and decided to try it, and…PERFECT PAIRING!! Difficult to describe, just darn GOOD!!
