Well…Ohio now also has “Baby Olivia” legislation in submission.

It’s been defeated before in other states, we can defeat it here

Ohio HR347, requiring a 24 hr waiting period before abortion, has a hearing tomorrow.

But Ohio already has a waiting period law…

which has been ruled unconstitutional…

so this is redundant…

So why the hearing?

Cynical political theater

Tylenol is not proven to cause autism or ADHD

So if you’re pregnant & require relief from pain, relieve yourself of pain

Ignore President Trump

Ignore RFK Jr

Don’t suffer pointlessly from the opinions of two old men eminently devoid of medical expertise

Acetaminophen remains a safe pain relief option during pregnancy. Despite recent unfounded claims, there’s no clear evidence linking prudent use to fetal development issues. ACOG's guidance remains. When needed in pregnancy, acetaminophen should be used in moderation, after consulting a doctor.

The American College of Ob/Gyn has released new expert guidance for COVID, flu & RSV vaccination in pregnancy.

Like the AAP, these should now be the vaccination recommendations cited by experts, leaders, journalists, physicians, researchers, policymakers & the media.

Access to reproductive expertise has been constricting through L+D closures & providers fleeing punitive laws. This will worsen under Medicaid cuts. Thus this resource’s need. It is additionally anonymous, often sadly a modern necessity

Breaking: The AAP has released its own evidence-based vaccine schedule, after recent federal changes prioritized politics over evidence.

Americans have long trusted their pediatricians. We ask for your trust again on this.

Ever doctor who practices obstetrics needs to say they engage in “abortion related activities” because

A) that is medically accurate and

B) they will then not be able to exclude everyone
jessicavalenti.bsky.social
Oklahoma doctors who want to keep getting state Medicaid reimbursements will have to sign a document saying they don't engage in "abortion-related activities."

That's right, it's a fucking anti-abortion loyalty oath.

When the media covers opinions from RFKJr, it will be equally important to cover vaccination guidance from professional organizations like the American College of Ob/Gyn & Academy of Pediatrics.

When they release their guidelines, it should be front page.

Untreated depression is often far more dangerous in pregnancy than risks of SSRIs…including from both maternal and fetal perspectives.

Sadly, the FDA is no longer a reliable source of medical expertise

Today’s FDA panel on SSRIs in pregnancy lacked balance and failed to reflect the evidence. Untreated depression and anxiety can lead to serious health risks for pregnant patients—SSRIs can be lifesaving. Patients deserve access to evidence-based, compassionate care. Learn more: buff.ly/NcCZno8

The law has not changed

So either we still have to have a Department of Education

Or we cannot really say that we still have laws.

Last week saw the Texas floods & signage of HR1

Both are tragic

Both will result in tremendous loss of life

Only, unlike the floods, the millions of people about to lose health insurance will be entirely manmade, will rest entirely upon those who voted for the bill.
