Secret documents. Never-before-seen photos. A mysterious vinyl record.

For the first time, The Lever is exposing the secret plot that legalized corruption.

You think you know this story, but you don’t because it’s all been secret — until now👇
The one silver lining in Trump's daily rampages is that they have exposed Democrats' most insidious lie - the lie claiming that Democrats' own presidents never had the power to change much.

It was always a lie. Now everyone can see that - and nobody will believe it next time.
The Era Of Pretend Powerlessness Is Over
Trump's rampage has laid waste to the Obama Era's biggest lie.

There are a few of us who are old enough to remember everyone in the Obama White House and in liberal media defending Obama's failures by insisting that he didn't have the power to do any of the big things he promised.

Trump's second term rampage of executive power shows what a total lie that was.

The iron law of Democratic Party politics is that no matter how much harm a party leader inflicts on the working class, the party’s DC elite will always celebrate them and give them a platform.

Banks let thieves use publicly available info about you to reach into your accounts & steal all your money - and when that happens, banks have made sure the rules & court precedents allow them to refuse to remunerate you for the losses.

This is absolutely insane.

🚨INVESTIGATION: As you read this post, thieves may be draining your bank accounts using just publicly available info - and thanks to lobbyist-gutted rules & a new court ruling, banks do not necessarily have to reimburse you.

A truly terrifying story - read it and then check your bank balances.

kinda hilarious that someone in Trump’s own Energy Department this morning decided to blast out a report destroying the argument that we need yet another war for oil because there’s not enough supply

Kudos to the NYT for arriving at this conclusion 40 years late. Amazing scoop.

Weeks before the attack, Halliburton filed a suit.

Another suit was filed by a fossil fuel giant whose board includes the head of a GOP donor family. www.levernews.com/corporations...

This is the coolest photo I took in 2025.

Remember that you are a speck of dust living on a speck of dust floating in a vast nothingness — knowing that provides some good perspective.

Happy New Year!

I logged on only because I was looking for a quick Jokic health update and I immediately see everyone is having a total normal one on Musk’s insanity app

these social platforms are all mental illness & everyone should make it their 2026 New Year’s resolution to log the fuck off and never come back

the weird thing is that I’ve met a lot of famous politicians/actors & I’ve never found myself particularly starstruck…and yet this would be me if I met literally any member of the Denver Nuggets roster

I’m away, off social & trying to avoid work matters. But I saw this end-of-the-year email from The @levernews.com team & I wanted to share because I’m genuinely floored by this subscriber growth.

I watched a basketball game last night and think I mighta glimpsed the face of god (or at least a god).

It prompted some thoughts about life purpose and reminded me that the bread-and-circuses view of sports is totally wrong.

Our games are not merely bread and circuses — they are the last meritocracies and they elicit the key to human health and happiness.

A week ago, I decided to look at my LinkedIn account for the first time in 10 years.

Today LinkedIn sent me this, which tells me it remains as big a toxic garbage fire as all the other platforms.

Been off social because I’m utterly sick of the politics garbage fire & feel more burned out than at anytime in my life. Have logged in only to check Denver Nuggets news. Now whenever I login, the social algorithms are only serving me NBA content, rather than the politics garbage fire. It’s great.

In signs for those waiting on lift lines, the ski monopoly today effectively bragged about how much it’s deciding to price gouge everyone as compared to what it charged in the 1960s.

$4 in 1961 is $43 in today’s money, or about 25% of the price of the same lift ticket today.

This is an example of how corporate media has too often used its soft power as the tone policeman & arbiter of the discourse to aid and abet the Epstein cover-up.

Sometimes it’s been aiding via omission/lack of coverage, other times it’s been scoffing/eye-rolling like this.

I don’t think Dem politicians should take advice from online marketers like Matt Yglesias, who have no experience in campaigns/elections.

But if they are gonna interact with the drivel produced by Matty’s clickbait content farm, this lawmaker shows how they should do it 👇
This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/o...
