It's time for the end of month book roundup...

🧙🏼 Sourcery, by Terry Pratchett
🧙🏼 Eric, by Terry Pratchett

Made sense to double stack as they're not long. Definitely less refined than Terry's later writing but still very funny.

And my first DNF of the year!

Hello! October was a high-quality month of reading 😍 Back to my favourite useless wizard next!

🎭 Dynasty: The Rise and Fall of the House of Caesar, by Tom Holland (not that one)
🐘🐺🍞 The Fifth Elephant, by Terry Pratchett

End of month book round up...

🐺 The Wolf Den by Elodie Harper

A quiet month, but a good book. Will definitely read the rest of the series.

I've been playing 'Later' as my first guess in Wordle since January 2022. Patience is a virtue.

Lord Ruler, it's time for the monthly book roundup!

🪙 Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

Just one book this month, but it was a big one! I was in the mood to dive into a new fantasy world and it was great fun. Looking forward to exploring more.

I have another end of the month book roundup. Some excellent time spent between the pages this month. 📚📖

🦖 Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton - I loved every part of this book. An immediate favourite.

🦈 Otherlands by Thomas Halliday

🏝️ Jingo by Terry Pratchett - Wonderful & sadly relevant.

Tonight has taught me that I'm woefully out of touch with European music taste!

I'm in love with Laura Thorn, Claude and Erika's songs. It would seem that's not a common opinion. No need to be depresso? 🇱🇺🇳🇱🇫🇮 #Eurovision

It's time for the end of the month book roundup!

🎭 Witches Abroad, by Terry Pratchett.

Only one book in a month? Dear me. Nearly finished my second, to be fair. Any guesses?

Time for an end of the month book roundup!

⚱️ Circe by Madeleine Miller
🧹 Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett (obligatory Discworld)

A much busier month with less time to read, unfortunately. Lots of strong women though 💪

Today I marked an entire year of daily journal entries! 🥳📓

I'm feeling so grateful for such a grounding and powerful hobby.

The #IdesofMarch also happens to be the birthday of my hamster, who we appropriately named Augustus.

Unfortunately he didn't make it to a year, passing from cancer in January. But his legacy lives on, and I will take any excuse to share a hamster picture. Please enjoy 🙂

Its hard to think of many historical figures with such a cultural impact upon the Western world as Gaius Julius Caesar.

He finished the trends set by the Gracchi, Marius & Sulla to set the stage for Imperial rule. He gave his name to every Kaiser and Tsar.

End of February book roundup! 📖

🗿 Feet of Clay - Terry Pratchett
💪 Astérix and the Goths - Goscinny & Uderzo
⚔️ The Storm Before the Storm - Mike Duncan

Some nice variety this month! A great novel and a wonderful deep dive into the factors that set Caesar & Augustus up to end the Roman Republic.

End of January book roundup 📖

Men at Arms - Pratchett
Reaper Man - Pratchett
Designing Terry Pratchett's Discworld - Paul Kidby

It's been a month of Discworld, and it has been lovely.

I finished Reaper Man at an unfortunately relevant time, and found its thoughts & concepts to be quite comforting

Isn't it wonderful when you can't stop thinking about a book?

Finished Reaper Man (Pratchett) at gone midnight last night. So engrossed I spent every spare minute since Monday lunchtime reading. Such a beautiful story and sentiment.

The re-reads continue... 🦶🗿

Garlic in my cooking and vanilla extract in my baking share one guiding principle: I add them with wild abandon, defying the recipe with a mix of audacity and playful disdain.

2024 was the year I really fell in love with journalling.

After writing sporadically for a year, I haven't missed a day since March. I burned through 3 journals, nearly 500 pages, bought multiple fountain pens, used endless washi tapes and a rainbow of inks.

Is there anything more grounding? 📖🖋️
