NB coring the apples without cutting them is easiest with a special gadget but can be done with the round type of potato peeler or a slim knife if need be.

You can stuff the centre wirh dried fruit or mincemeat if you like. It’s a very flexible recipe!

Core Bramley apples (other types of apples won’t explode the same way) and score a line round the circumference to allow the apple to expand. Top with something to sweeten (maple syrup, honey, sugar) and a bit of water and bake uncovered in oven (200 or thereabouts) till it looks like this.

yellow cherry tomatoes, wirh a couple of red cherry sized tomatoes and one larger red one in a bowl and spread out on a bread bag in front. Some are reflected in a microwave.
