We are all guilty of silencing the far-right.

As a society, we put forward rational reasoning as to why racism and xenophobia is bad, leaving the far-right no space to articulate their prejudices without feeling self-shamed into silence.

They should have invited Trump, handed him the second prize on camera, and then told him to award it to Obama 🤣

Now that Trump hasn't won the Nobel peace prize, will he quickly lose interest and walk away from the peace deal being brokered between Netanyahu and Hamas?

The phrase "politics of envy" was created to silence those that point out growing poverty and wealth inequality.

I am a patriot who is more than prepared to pay my taxes to ensure that those less fortunate than me get the help they need. Why aren't the super-rich prepared to do the same?

I've no interest in being a multi-millionaire. I simply want the security of knowing that I can pay the mortgage and bills each month, and have a little left over to enjoy.

This financial security should also be extended to our children and grandchildren too...

It's... Beautiful!

It portrays the light and shade that dominates the mind of the modern day neanderthal.

The triumph of ignorance over rationality. A scream of frustration from those who have silenced themselves for fear of having their views challenged.

Maybe you need to remind them that you ended SIX UNENDIBUBBLE WARS.

If I was a billionaire, it's unlikely that an increase in tax would convince me to uproot my family and drag them halfway across the world to save a few £s when I've probably already got far more money than I ever need.

People forget that the wealthy have been coming and going as they pleased long before Labour got into power, because money simply gives them the opportunity to be more mobile...

Odd that a man whose political career has been so dependent upon racist and xenophobic division would complain about teachers who explain to children why racism and xenophobia is wrong.

The far-right are afraid of an educated voter.

Surely working for right-wing think tanks or media outlets against the best interests of much of the country isn't really a job either?

Perhaps we need a comprehensive report on jobs that are counter-productive as well as non-productive.

Competition certainly hasn't helped improve the quality of service either.

Many parcels are being delivered to the wrong houses judging by the number of community Facebook posts asking for help identifying someone's front door.

And the Tories wonder why productivity is so low in the UK.

"If a job should not exist then it isn't really a job" sums up much of the private sector.

We currently have 5 or 6 different courier vans around our street every day when it used to be 1 or 2. All of these companies are competing for the same work, congesting our roads and polluting our air...

The party that has driven Northern Ireland closer to reunification with Ireland and pushed Scotland closer to Independence.

Have they not dropped the "Unionist" bit yet?

This was a speech made for the very survival of the Conservative Party. To consolidate the traditional core Conservative base, not to try and win the next election.

They are quietly moving away from the performative "War on Woke" to protecting the comfortably wealthy.

Why waste money on a "Mickey Mouse" course anyway?

An educated population is far harder to manipulate. What we need is a nation of Sun readers who can easily be enraged by Shakira Law and too many black people in adverts.

I also agree with you that Hamas are not peacemakers.

They will see this as an opportunity to regroup for further violence in the future. What Palestinians need is a Government that is not hellbent on bloodshed, which will be difficult to achieve after the genocide.
debatingroom.bsky.social
The cynic in me believes that the peace process will fall apart once Trump has his hands on the prize, if not sooner.

The Israeli Government has always prioritised land and resources over the safety of the hostages.

People tend to be quite critical of Kemi Badenoch.

But we mustn't forget that she is the best the Tories have got 😬
