I was gifted one of the rarest medals from #WW1. It was for a nurse in the TFNS
She became very ill with malaria and discharged.

Brass memorial to Capt John Geldard RMLI who died in 1918. The tablet says he died on active service.His place of death was not a battlefield though or overseas but in a London hotel. He was 33
He was in the service from at least 1911. I took this in a small church in Rathmell.
