I’ve just come across this register of inmates at Pentonville. Does anyone have a clue why they are all posed with their hands like this? I’m perplexed!

Brass memorial to Capt John Geldard RMLI who died in 1918. The tablet says he died on active service.His place of death was not a battlefield though or overseas but in a London hotel. He was 33
He was in the service from at least 1911. I took this in a small church in Rathmell.

My dad used to buy me a premium bond every birthday until I married in 1972. I was 12 when he gave me this. My name is written top left because I’m a twin and we got one each! I’d never get rid of this link to my dad.

Lucky enough to have inherited 6 autograph books from my husband’s family. Out of fashion now but once v popular Wonderful art! I’ve researched some of his family’s friends and neighbours.
