Fun fact: I bought the Alexander McQueen skull scarf in Istanbul airport 4 years ago on the way back from working at the Beijing winter Olympics and Paralympics and someone on twitter got mad and unfollowed me for buying it cos it meant I wasn't left wing enough.

There's been a fairly big campaign in that area against new pylons and other development, I'd say there's a fair amount of classic rural NIMBYism in this result that doesn't point to progressive politics suddenly taking root
