Last question at presser:

Reporter: Will you take any accountability for the two lives lost?

Bovino: Two suspects have been shot...it goes back to the choices, to interfere and obstruct agents...whether it's based on ideology, we don't know.

They're crying in Boston, this time it's different
There’s a rally going on in Boston rn and they’re chanting “we’re not cold, we’re not afraid, MN taught us to be brave!” and I might cry

You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

Worse than Kent State, really than any episode I can think of probably dating back to Reconstruc & earlier b/c

1. continuing, not 1 off.
2. organized, not individual ofcrs losing it
3. literally at hand of federal government, which is
4. immediately lying & circling the wagons to prevent inves.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

When I was in Kyiv last month, I went around talking to people about how they were coping with blackouts. At a salon, they kept their generator in a shed out back.

I tried to be like "haha please please move this, you're going to get carbon monoxide poisoning" but no luck. Godspeed to that salon
PSA: if you hear someone say that they have a generator, ask them where they plan to put it while using it. Plenty of smart people genuinely don’t know why it’s critical to give it plenty of space.
A few people pointing out that their homes are all electric and therefore they do not need carbon monoxide alarms. Do you have a neighbor? Do you know if they own a portable generator? Do you trust them to not place it too close to your house?

I’ve been writing Popular Information for 8 years, and this is one of the most important stories I’ve ever published. This is a humanitarian crisis that has gone unreported.
ICE has stopped paying for detainee medical treatment
ICE halted payments in October, and the situation will persist for at least several more months
