Yes, the GOP controls Congress. That's why it's key to show Congress COULD stop the madness. And it's not just the DHS bill. Congress could repeal the prior multi-year $75b for DHS; set up a special investigative committee (cf. Watergate); amend the Insurrection Act; etc.

1996, I saw 2-7 IU play 9-0 OSU. IU led 17-10 going into the 4Q, but they blew it and lost 17-27. The game was sold out with OSU fans, and despite what should have been an embarrassing escape, OSU fans celebrated the B1G championship by tearing down IU's goal posts. That was IU fb before tonight.

When I was in college, a guy who got Cs, weighed 350 lbs, and was later suspended for fighting, asked me "are black people in the South better than black people in the North because they had the discipline to not run away?"
He's now a middle school math teacher, and that explains a lot.
