Minister Calleary announces a new 3 year pilot payment scheme for landowners in the MacGillycuddy Reeks.

Similar to the Walks Scheme, it will see payments being made to farmers and other private landowners in the MacGillycuddy Reeks who undertake an agreed work programme.

Yesterday Minister Jerry Buttimer reopened the newly refurbished library in Kilbeggan.

The library recieved a €208,000 investment from the Department for refurbishment works and now has extended opening hours under the My Open Library service.

Last Thursday, Minister Dara Calleary turned the sod on the latest CCIF project in Moneygall Co Offaly.

Once complete it will be transformative to the wider community and the generation to come.

Today Minister Calleary turned the sod on new €2 million Community Centre in Moneygall, Co Offaly.

Funded under the Community Centre Investment Fund, the sod turning for this new community facility marked the beginning of a new future for Moneygall.

Minister Calleary has announced the purchase of Teach Siamsa na Carraige, Baile na nGall, by Kerry County Council.

It is hoped to return the building to use as a multi-purpose Arts Centre providing a diverse programme of activities through the Irish language
