WOW! That is incredible. #dcfc unruffled in the first half, less so second half, but huge credit to Weimann for closing down the keeper, and Salvesen for keeping his nerve, à la Kazim-Richards v WBA.

Very much a classic game of two halves. Hull can kick themselves all the way back to Humberside 😁

Amazing work from #dcfc! The Rams seized on Sheffield United's vulnerabilities with ruthless intent to make it three wins on the spin.

Carlton Morris continues to prove a canny signing by Eustace, and is now the Championship’s joint second-top goalscorer (the top scorer who doesn't play for Cov ⚽)

Sheffield United v #dcfc preview. I do think the Blades will head up the table eventually... But hopefully that process won't start this Saturday.

The biggest question for Eustace is how he replaces Max Johnston. Nyambe? Ward? A wildcard?

Still chuckling at my mate @peterlee7395.bsky.social's description of QPR being "as toothless as a '60s bingo night" 😂

Gutted to miss today's game due to work commitments. Picking up six points this week is a huge relief, and gives #dcfc a platform to build on.

The only fly in the ointment today (there's always one...) was Max Johnston's injury. How Eustace covers that isn't going to be a straightforward decision.

Solidarity with #swfc fans at a horrible time, and everything crossed for a speedy resolution to this crisis.

If that's not the case, the important thing will be to stick together. Tune out social media noise. Keep talking to your fellow Owls, friends and family when you need to.

The reason John Eustace was willing to walk out on Blackburn for a relegation battle with Derby became clear when the Rams spent big on a summer overhaul of their squad, but it's been a tricky start for the new-look Rams.

Where are the senior players who left #dcfc in the summer? A thread....

I think it means the back three is forced - but that needed to happen anyway.

The only obvious player to slot in alongside Ozoh is Bobby Clark, who isn't defensively minded, so #dcfc will need the solid three behind them.

Some have suggested Sanderson in midfield, but I'm not sure about that.
We know we are lacking in MF. We're going to be out of posession a lot. If we can set up to get the best of our forwards we'll score more than we concede. 3 at the back next match. No Adams makes Saturday a challenge - any suggestions how we deal with this? #dcfcfans #dcfc

Thankfully, Eustace bowed to the inevitable and changed the system. Once Langas came on, the game ceased to be a one-sided joke. A lot of #dcfcfans were impatient for 🇳🇴 to start. We needed him back.

Fantastic strike from Ozoh, but don't forget the brilliant work from Agyemang that made it happen.
That was the most worrying #dcfc first-half since ... Saturday.

JE's gameplan of "Let Norwich have the ball" seems fraught with danger to me.

This is an argument which is also being made in our WhatsApp group.

Not many of the outfield players who started against Oxford could complain if Eustace dropped them. But #dcfc are horribly short of midfield options all of a sudden, which doesn't help matters.
Until we can address this in January perhaps we need to to go to 3-5-2, something we can do now Langas is back. Push Johnston and Elder forward to help boss midfield and put balls into the box.

Norwich next. They're in awful form, and it's possible that a loss to #dcfc would trigger the sack for Liam Manning. It's the sort of game that would have a team in good form and playing with confidence licking their lips. Derby won't get a better opportunity to start turning things around than this
The worry is that Oxford are one of the weaker sides in the league. Here’s hoping for improvement on Tuesday

Long report on an absolute travesty of a performance from #dcfc at the Kassam. I still have steam coming out of my ears now.

I think the squad is imbalanced. Very top-heavy, with nine attackers in the 25, short in midfield, particularly with Travis now out.

Rowett made the simple tweak of going 4-3-3 today, outnumbered #dcfc in midfield, and hey presto, they played through us at will. And they're not a technical side.
Very disappointing indeed I didn’t watched the game today but why do you think we having cracked on this season is it just a unbalanced squad, poor tactics , poor recruitment? Possibly poor man management?

No response or improvement from #dcfc in the second half. A 1-0 scoreline was deeply flattering.

Ten games in and no cohesion. On the evidence of performances and underlying stats, Derby are going to be in another relegation fight, which given Clowes' investment in summer, is a huge disappointment.
The only positive from that shambolic first half from #dcfc is that Oxford didn't kill the game, which they absolutely should have done. Eustace needs to take the opportunity to get out of jail by making changes.

If it was me, Agyemang and Elder would be on at half-time, at the bare minimum.

It still doesn't quite feel real, but I've now published *four* books about #dcfc! These are my telling of the Rams' history from 2010 - 2024.

A lot happened in those 14 years.

I'm not planning another one for a while, but who knows...
