If we are to survive SNAP benefits being cut, communities will need to come together, organize, and likely step in where these programs have disappeared. This isn’t something that hasn’t been done before! It can be done again! These programs partly exist because needs were NOT being met.

America is so racist that some Americans believed SNAP benefits were for white people and food stamps were for black people and they did not know they were the same thing and are now horrified to learn they are losing their food subsidies.
Thank you Heirloom Farmers Market for continuing to help the community. We went today to support you supporting the community and had some delicious Sri Lankan food in the process!

Last night, we went for the first time to Wild West Market. We went because they are helping the community with meals for those who are not receiving their SNAP benefits. Since they are supporting the community, we want to support them!

Roadside Democracy took me to Alamo Lake — population 7.

Yeah, I had to look it up too. Turns out, it’s that beautiful nowhere in Arizona that’s totally worth the drive.

Within five minutes, I made a burro friend.

What a blast at Perks and Politics in Mesa!

The Mai Tai energy was absolutely delicious—vibrant, refreshing, and full of local flavor. The staff kept the vibes high with sass, laughter, and so much warmth.

Events like this remind me why community connection matters.

I kicked Wednesday morning with community, caffeine, and conversation at Activate & Caffeinate—hosted at the cozy Window Coffee in Phoenix.

We don't care if you're dressed as Nancy Mace for Halloween, screaming at our dealers will not get you a free buffet.

While we are outraged about Trump posting pictures of his desecration of Lincoln's bedroom bathroom, let's not forget that Americans should have been more outraged about these pictures from Trump's bathroom in Florida.
Tuesday night in Sedona was a reminder of why I love connecting with our community.

We hosted an intimate meet and greet, and the conversations were open, personal, and full of heart.

Had an inspiring afternoon collecting signatures at the Cottonwood Public Library — and what a reminder it was that conversations still matter.

From meaningful chats with new friends from the Kingdom Hall who helped me set up, to neighbors who shared their excitement.

What a night at CALA Alliance’s fundraiser at Chilte on Monday!

I managed to snag the very last Crunchwrap Burger (worth every bite) and found myself sharing a table with two people I’d never met—“yet to be friends.”

Monday’s Rush Hour Resist Rally at the Central Park Crosswalk was electric. What stood out most wasn’t just the honks or waves of support—it was the energy we built together.

Sunday’s Board Games for Democracy might not have been my lucky day—let’s just say Stratego humbled me and Scrabble finished the job—but it was still a win in the ways that count.

Between laughter, conversation, and some strategic lessons learned.

The best thing Bill Gates ever did was marry Melissa Gates so she could take billions from him in a divorce to actually help humanity
