@winsorkinkade on insta shared this print in the fall that really resonates with me and is a big inspiration for getting back to creating for Art’s Sake. Since making an effort to create daily I have a hyper awareness of the exchange of self I give up to please others. It’s exhausting.
Beautiful print making print likely a Lino cut on white paper inked in red with a red boarder. Image shows a square image in a tile format. The centre has a circle that says “together, we weep. Together, we create. Together, we resister.” Around the circle diagonal to the circle but inline with the corners are four dark birds, I would say crows or black birds holding leafy vegetation in their beaks with small berries that also seem to have fallen off and the fallen off berries are balanced between the birds close to the circle. Framing the birds and the centre text is a thick boarder each direction has a different element in it. To the bottom of the bring a swirl representing air, the top a flower with leafs, possibly a sunflower representing earth, to the left a flame, for fire and finally the right, a water droplets, to represent water. The outside edge is a long ivy boarder and each outside corner of the square frame has a star.

Fresh from yesterday's raku firing, meet Perseus' Cloud.

Born from fire and smoke, this raku vessel is inspired by the Perseus Molecular Cloud. This little fragment of the cosmos, imprinted by fire, holds echoes of stars long gone.

Like us all, it is stardust.

Starting my clay journey excited to find joy in creating again. Trying to focus on fun and happiness not perfection trying out new things rather than what makes me comfortable. The snowflake platter is an experiment in clay shrinkage and the meeple stamp because well boardgames! #clay #creative
