It's like Bruce imagines that having a brother means having a best friend but EVEN MORE INTENSE, and in the process he skipped right over brother and straight to boyfriend.
I've never really been a Nebraska fan, but I've been listening to the album a bunch because of the movie and I don't think I'll ever get over "nothing feels better than blood on blood." What the fuck did you MEAN to convey, Bruce?

In my quest to read books that have been on my shelf for ages, I'm finally reading the copy of A Great and Terrible Beauty that I got from a Little Free Library. I love The Diviners series and Under the Same Stars (Beauty Queens was just ok), so it's fun to finally read Libba Bray's debut.

I laughed at the McElroy Family Clubhouse bit when the guitar-covered Firehouse Subs mural was revealed to be in Waukesha, but today I'm IN Waukesha and they are EXTREMELY proud of being the birthplace of Les Paul. I was not familiar with their guitar vibe!

History of Sound was very very good. The only real misstep for me is that Paul Mescal is not nearly a good enough singer to be what the story presents his character to be. But he's great otherwise.
